Agreement

These Terms of Use apply to RoofTakeoff, an iPhone app by PMTech Apps (“we”). PMTech Apps is the brand of an independent developer, and RoofTakeoff is sold on the App Store by that developer. They supplement Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which also applies. By using RoofTakeoff you agree to both. If they conflict, these terms apply to the topics they cover.

Measurements are estimates

Roof areas, pitches, edge lengths, material quantities and prices calculated by RoofTakeoff are estimates, whether they come from an outline you draw on satellite imagery or from dimensions you enter. Aerial data can be out of date, incomplete or inaccurate. Trees, new construction, additions and roof changes made after a survey may be missing or wrong, and automatic detection of edges can make mistakes.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for checking every measurement and quantity, for inspecting the roof on site before you order materials, quote a final price or start work, and for the estimates and contracts you send to your customers. RoofTakeoff is a calculation tool. It does not provide engineering, surveying, insurance or legal advice and is not a substitute for a professional roof inspection.

Third-party data

Satellite imagery and address search come from Apple Maps. We do not control this data and make no promise about its availability, accuracy or how current it is.

Subscriptions

RoofTakeoff Pro is sold by Apple through the App Store. Payment, renewal, cancellation and refunds are handled by Apple under its terms; you can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID settings.

No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RoofTakeoff is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, PMTech Apps is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, material costs, rework, delays or claims by your customers, arising from your use of RoofTakeoff or its measurements. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for RoofTakeoff in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page with its effective date; continuing to use RoofTakeoff after a change means you accept it.
